About The Artwork
Every day we opened our door we were presented with a dream view. A hibiscus grew directly opposite the main entrance. Over the winter months it lost all its leaves to the always hungry, giant wood pigeons, the kererū. The hibiscus did not seem to mind at all. The leaves grew back in no time and in summer countless flowers shone magically against the light. This watercolour comes in an off-white mount.
