Venezuelan-born Michael Bond is a professional artist working in a variety of mediums. He creates visual expressions to inspire and connect people, initiate dialog, and promote awareness and interaction for all. "My work involves the creation of images that are visually interesting yet contain a certain mystery. My goal is to involve the viewer on multiple levels, encouraging an interaction with the work mentally, emotionally and spiritually. All of my pieces are autobiographical to some extent... what I feel is what is expressed, sometimes consciously, usually sub-consciously". "When I'm painting, there is no deliberate thought involved, and nothing else seems to exist for the time being. The result is often an uncovering of feelings and emotions rather than a covering of canvas. A show attendee once remarked: 'Most people paint what they see, you paint what you don't see'. I can think of no higher compliment." Michael's work has been featured in International Artist's Magazine's Showcase of Master Painters of the United States, exhibited at the corporate headquarters of Kraft Foods International and Young & Rubicam, and can be found in many private collections across the country. He is currently exhibiting at the Artisan Direct NYC PopUp Show at the Roger Smith Hotel at 47th and Lexington in Midtown Manhattan.
