About The Artwork
This is a minimalist painting exploring movement within nature, plant cycles, seed distribution and essentially the cycles of life. This is an ongoing theme within my current body of work and each of these pieces is part of a larger development of creative practice and intuitive process. The painting is on Fabriano 100% cotton rag archival paper and is signed on the reverse of the image. All my paintings are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Genevieve Leavold is a British abstract Painter based in Frome, U.K. Predominantly known for her freeform, organic paintings, her reverence for spontaneous gesture in her paintings draws from Zen, Buddhism and other ancient Eastern philosophies which embrace the beauty of purposelessness and play. Her whole approach is one of immediacy, working wet colour into wet and layering glazes gives her work its recognisable softness and form. b.1980 Somerset UK. Genevieve Leavold originally trained and worked in Theatre Design before taking the decision to return her focus to painting. She completed studio courses at Central Saint Martin in 2007 and 2012. She has exhibited widely in the UK, Europe and the USA and has work in private and corporate collections worldwide.
