About The Artwork

Lilith is an oil on canvas painting representing a woman in pre-raphaelite style, with her long, red hair. The title is especially referred to Lady Lilith painting by pre-raphaelite painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti. It is a tribute to that art world though painted in a modern way, with a total black background like in '600 portaiture.

Born in Milan, I have always loved drawing and art since her childhood. I am a self-taught artist and have always continued to cultivate my passion for art even during my studies and in the period when I worked in the marketing field. I love studying new techniques and over the years I have experimented with various, from graphite to watercolor, from acrylic to airbrush and oil. In 2015 I decided to leave my office job, following the ever-present call of art to which I began to devote myself full-time from 2016, initially customizing mainly helmets and motorcycle parts with airbrush and at the same time expressing myself through my paintings. In 2019 I began to exhibit my artworks, immediately receiving an excellent response from the public and critics and obtaining various awards. I love realism and hyperrealism as long as they do not border on the mere perfect reproduction of reality but instead becoming a tool to deepen the soul of the subject and I prefer female portraits. I am now exploring a more conceptual portrait style. I have always been particularly focused on the expressiveness of the gaze. Currently, I am painting a series of female portraits of women who show feelings of loneliness, sadness and melancholy in their gestures and expressions. The series is called "Heartbreak Hotel", like the famous song by Elvis Presley. Each work, a room. Each room, a broken-hearted woman.
