ABOUT THE ARTWORK

‘Lines of Communication’ Is a juxtaposition of expressive elemental elements within a technological grid. An intuitive response to the landscape, Suggestions of valleys, fields and perspective, using a water based carbon medium that flows then settles into abstracted interpretations. We look through a network of communication grids, which frame smaller areas within the landscape. Windows. Snapshots. The Electric blues and pale greens of the communication grid suggest a connection to the natural world, rivers, grasses, pools of clear water. I have been inspired by the thought of technology surrounding us, by being ever present in our airways. By how much of what we live with, can be ignored to our detriment. Landscape as being intrinsic to who we are and where we come from, ancient, elemental, layers of history, human intervention.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

The majority of my paintings are abstracted images that are reminiscent of landscape, with implied perspectives and blurred distinctions. Abstract forms invite analogies; plough marks, cloud, water, horizon lines. It is the ambiguity of marks and colour relationships that interest me and the vague narratives that develop with each piece. In my latest work, my fascination with landscape continues. The traditional /contemporary juxtaposition inspires me and there remains a narrative which explores a visceral response to our landscapes. I have been exploring the concept of 'invisible threads of communication' that surrounds us in modern society, the unseen, the unknowable, whilst relating to an intuitive personal dialogue that connects me to the landscape of our ancestors.
