I was born in Gradina, right next to the Drava River. I live in Opatija, Republic of Croatia. All my works are made from recycled, industrial and waste materials. I use: - waste from machine processing (sawdust, dust, wire, metal shavings) - waste paint (paint residues from painting pipelines or ship's sheets) - flint sand, steel shot (used to remove rust) - substrates (boards from discarded wardrobes, various wooden packaging, rusty sheets) Production: I work with sharpened pieces of wire, wood, fingers, a sponge, a rag, burnt wood… (I don’t use brushes, nor do I use painting tools) Recognizability: my works are connected with waste ball bearings. Everything started for me the moment I realized that I could illuminate already created waste with shape, type or color so that You can see it too. I shape the “worthless” and I add the value of time and space. It teaches us what we are and where we will go, but not as the unconscious beings in which is planted worthlessness, rather as the beings who find beauty, which we are surrounded with, in themselves. The beauty teaches us that everything around us is unspeakably beautiful. In this way, I try to teach myself that I, like you, am wonderful and worthy of existence. Such comprehension preserves the flame of love in everything. In this way of my expression, I want to show the viewer that the value of a discarded, abandoned, worthless, unsightly remnant or material can be as magnificent as obscurely rich objects kept in various galleries, museums or vaults. I want to give people the insight that all matter is the same. I want to give people the insight that all people are equally valuable. I want to show people that life is infinitely valuable. I want to tell people that reaching a higher level of awareness is certainly valuable in our lives. I want to tell people that creation is the most important thing in life. I want to tell people: laugh and enjoy life.
