ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This 3D mixed media painting is part of my series "Strategies for Present Day Life". Memories of my childhood, where games were played by the rules (or not) prompted this artwork. The scattered marbles, some going off the edges of the panel, suggest the difficulty of getting to the inner circle. Also the struggle to "keep our marbles together" in a constantly changing world. The marbles are glued to the surface of the oil painting. The edges of the cradled panel are natural birch wood. This painting does not require framing.
