About The Artwork

Losing a loved one is perhaps the greatest combination of bad feelings we can experience. Even though Loss was the inspirational word, I desire to highlight Joy, Remembrance, Comfort and Peace that comes after the grieving process. Joy that you were fortunate enough to have them as part of your life. Remembrance when something you experience reminds you of them. Comfort knowing that they are always with you, part of you. And Peace knowing that their spirit is with our creator. Choose to experience these emotions, I believe it is what our loved ones would want.

The Provocative Artist. The definition of the word provocative has two parts and both parts summarize what I desire to accomplish with my life and my art. The first part of the definition is causing discussion, thought, or argument. I believe we are able to change the world for the better by increasing human consciousness. As a result, we will become more understanding, tolerant, and loving. Future Life Works will be created to prompt respectful discussion of differing ideas and new ways of thinking with the hopes of raising human consciousness. The second component to the definition of provocative is causing sexual feelings or excitement. Sexuality is a very sensitive subject in the world today. It is my hope that by increasing conversation, the sensitivity will diminish and more humans will accept this as a part of life and nothing to be ashamed of. I have felt the pressure to suppress this aspect of who I am and there is no reason for it, it really is an aspect of what it means to be human. So as a woman, I desire to encourage other women to express their sexuality and femininity - however that is safely conveyed. On another level, I desire my artwork to inspire humans to create excitement in their life, excitement that comes by expressing yourself as the authentic you.
