Love3 Painting

I am very much a self-taught artist, working out of my garage and absorbed by the mundane themes which preoccupy the bulk of humanity: love/life/death/etc which I approach with a certain amount of irony and (self) mockery. I have always been fascinated by graffiti and street art in general and these have now permeated my work. In fact, the solidity of my art is rooted in the messages which surround us all. Light and colour are important to me but the subject-matter often takes me into the binary elements of white and black, with red working as a pivot. Expression for me is very usually a quest, an exploration of humdrum elements which force their way into an idiosyncratic beyond. My art is very much an organised chaos – akin sometimes to a haunting English garden.
