ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Artwork is inspired by a bouquet of the naturally dried Lunaria Annua plants from my garden. They are incredibly beautiful when daylight shines through the seed cups. Captured light and dreamy atmosphere around them. I will invite the viewers to be here, see and feel the stillness of this serenity moment. The nature shows its hidden side and fascinating by wonderful shapes and colors. Simply amazing to a contemplation. This still life is figurative artwork painted from the nature. I keep it naturally like I see and choose impressionistic style. Amazing watercolor reveal the shine of glass vase and the Lunaria bouquet. My impression was about its beautiful play of light and shadows. Painted on Fabriano Artistico 100% cotton paper, 300g CP GF. Heavy cotton paper with a light texture. Signed on the frontside, details about painting on backside.

Artist and explorer inspired by imperfections of nature shapes, lines and colors. Find myself in the silent and slow side of nature. Through my art, I love to free myself and find my way home. I love to be an explorer. It is about the creative process with watercolor and inspiration found in the hidden sides of nature, especially among the wild growing plants. I am deeply connected to northern nature that excites me with its strange authentic shapes and earthy honest colors. An observational sketch from nature with idea exploration is essential to my art process. The impression received by the slow contemplation of objects in nature is crucial to me. I am attracted to imperfections and like to study and work with rare shapes. I often choose the still life genre because I love to create a relaxing space where nature is timeless, and my impression is highest. My visual language is dreamy romantic and can vary from figurative to semi-abstract. I am in love with watercolor medium that is a flowing and alive on paper, I follow that way. Through my art, I invite the viewer to find a space for themselves, to see more and deeper, to accept the rare, and to enjoy life's moments.
