ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is the story of my childhood. Its a painting of a friend's child and her pony but it is all that I aspired to for years when I was growing up.. I wanted my own pony and at the age of 11 my dreams came true. I had to learn to care for him through our harsh winters and learned about responsibility. I always had a coat too big for me but remembered being so cold that I warmed my hands under his chin. I wanted to paint the total love a child has for an animal.
