ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I started my career as an illustrator living in Miami. I was represented by an art rep in New York City. Then, in 1990, I decided to dedicate the rest of my    career to being a fine artist. I am an Impressionist painter interested in capturing  the appearance of light and it's effect to any scene I am standing in front of. This  in turn creates landscapes and figurative paintings that appear a bit brighter and more exciting than the work of the traditionalists. Like Monet implied when he painted his masterful paintings years ago, I paint what I would like  to see instead of what I actually saw! After living in Miami for 40 years, we now live in North Central Florida. All the images on my site are scenes that I have seen over the last 40 years traveling around the countryside of Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia.  Also, I painted many scenes I have observed in Miami, South Beach, Miami Beach and Central Florida.
