MONALISA Painting

I was born in Luino on the shores of Lake Maggiore, Italy, where I live and work. I have cultivated a passion for “belcanto” since I was a child and after graduating from high school I studied at the G. Verdi Conservatory of Milan under the guidance of maestro Pier Miranda Ferraro. Immediately after graduation, I won the A.S.L.I.C.O. competition that opened the doors for me to play lead roles in operas in the most important theaters in Italy and around the world, while simultaneously conducting a successful career in television. My creativity and love for art lead me to develop a passion for painting, and at a later time to take classes taught by Antonella Petese. Oil paint is the primary medium I use for my creations. I transfer my three-dimensional experience from the stage into a two-dimensional art form that consists of the harmony of movement between the hand on the canvas and the density of brush strokes. The paint, canvas, and brushes make up the cast of my creations that engage the eyes, mind and heart. The finale is a spontaneous physical representation of the emotions I express on stage.
