ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Madhubani folk art is Indian traditional folk art. It is 2500 year old art form. Madhubani art is also known as Mithila art. It is a style of painting practiced in the Mithila Region of India and Nepal. the painting is characterized by its eye-catching geometrical pattern. The artist creates these paintings using a variety of mediums, including fingers, twigs, brushes, nib pens, and matchsticks. Madhubani painting mostly depicts people and their association with nature and scenes and deities from the ancient epics. Following the techniques of Madhubani painting Bharni and Kachni I have created my design. I love the simplicity and richness of the folk arts inspired me a lot to paint. This is 9inX12in watercolour ink and colour pencil painting in madhubani art form. Madhubani art is a Indian folk style. It is world famous art. Folk Art is A Connection to My Indian Roots. Unraveling the Roots. Exploring the Origins of Folk Art. My work is a constant search for the best way to interpret the ideas that I have about myself and the world I live in. I do not limit myself to one medium, style, or concept. Each piece I created is simultaneously an extension of the past, where I have come from, and what I have learned as well as a preview of the future, where I am going. Many of the traditional folk art methods can be seen in my artwork. If a viewer stops for just a moment to view and reflect on a piece of artwork I have created, then I have succeeded in my work.
