Mammoths once lived here When the nice summer days came, my parents, taking me with them, went to the wild places in Siberia. I have some of the most vivid childhood memories of one of these places. The Irtysh River originates in western China. Flowing through the northern steppes of Kazakhstan, it falls into the kingdom of forests in the south of Western Siberia. The extraordinary nature of these places, the riot of plants, the abundance of wild animals, delighted me and my parents. Once walking along the steep sandy bank of the river, I discovered an interesting find from the distant past. Picking up and examining beautiful river stones and shells, I noticed an unusual gray object, it was so smooth that its shine from the falling bright summer sun blinded me. Discarding the previously collected finds, I rushed to him. Running up, knelt down and began to dig a hole with his hands around the mysterious object. After 5 minutes, a fragment of a huge horn appeared from the wet sand. I didn't immediately understand what it was. But the father, who came up, immediately determined that it was, undoubtedly, the tusk of a large animal. - "Many millennia ago, these places were inhabited by majestic animals, mammoths", freeing an object like a curved tree trunk from the sand, the father began his story. - "Their huge size, ferocious disposition, terrified the local forest dwellers. The Ice Age forced these majestic animals to go further and further south, south of Western Siberia. Where they found their last home." My delight knew no bounds. We carefully removed the find from the sand and subsequently transferred it to the local paleontological museum. Growing up, every time I come to the wild bank of the Irtysh River, I remember this bright event. But most importantly, I again feel like a child who, while walking carelessly along the shore, could enjoy the bright summer sun next to his beloved young mother and father. I was born in 1982 in the city of Omsk in Western Siberia in Russia. Now I live in St. Petersburg. In the late 90s entered an art school. After 4 years of study, successfully passed the final exams. At the same time, studied physics and mathematics at the Dostoevsky Omsk State University. Art has always been with me. I still admire the work of artists such as Monet, Renoir, Levitan, van Gogh, Sisley, Lebasque, Gauguin, Korovin, Guillaumin, Grabar, Shishkin. My style can be attributed to impressionism sometimes to realism. Painting takes a special place in my life. Nature, its phenomena, inspire me to work. I love nature, play hockey, fishing, mountain climbing.
