This was the trip of a lifetime to Antarctica to experience a totally different way of travelling. To see the wildlife where it belongs was a memory I will never forget. Saw my first penguins in the Falklands, Gentoo with some King Penguins in the colony. Quaint and charming little creatures. We were supposed to keep well away from the penguins, but their curiosity meant that they waddled up to us huge beings to explore our boots/trousers and anything else that took their fancy! Huge colony of King penguins on South Georgia and many sketching and photographic opportunities, so made the most of them. Elephant seals could be the next painting - huge bad tempered bulls with attitude! Painting ready to hang in your home.
