Yuliya Odukalets is a Ukrainian oil painter and a member of the International Union of Ukrainian Artists, UARTIST 83. With a classical art education, Yuliya is currently honing her practice in contemporary art and conceptual thinking at the Aurum Art Centre in Odesa. Her creative process is heavily influenced by the works of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masters such as Van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Vrubel. She also benefits from the mentorship of respected Ukrainian artists Olena and Volodymyr Ilyichov. Yuliya’s art revolves around the idea of harmony and tranquility, aiming to create a connection between the viewer and the artwork. Using a unique layered painting technique and unconventional tools, she merges tradition with innovation, inviting introspection and inspiring change. This distinctive approach makes her work impossible to replicate, adding a layer of authenticity that elevates each piece. Her paintings often explore the balance between light and shadow, the fleeting nature of time, and the serene beauty of still lifes and landscapes. Her works are held in private collections across the USA, Poland, Norway, Slovenia, Australia, Israel, Germany, Japan, and Ukraine. Yuliya's commitment to her craft is reflected in her ongoing artistic journey, where she continues to explore new forms and ideas while staying true to her core principle of evoking a sense of calm and comfort through art.
