ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was part of a five year series inspired by the contrast between stadium order and crowd patterns that combined chaos with predictable geometry of seating arrangements. It was an opportunity to study clothing, hairstyles and skin tones en mass to ''abstract'' the crowd dynamic in a planned and predictable architectural setting.

I am an artist/educator who began teaching in 1974 at the University of San Diego ( setting up their first Photography program in addition to teaching Drawing and Painting classes). I moved to New York City in the summer of 1978 and exhibited with Soghur and Leonard in SoHo, an annex of OK Harris Gallery. In 1988 I became a full time Instructor at the former Connecticut Institute of Art in Greenwich, Conn. teaching classes in Photography and studio art. In 1991 I moved with my family to Mahopac in Putnam County. Since 2002 I have been an Adjunct Professor at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, N.Y. teaching a variety of Fine Art classes from Art History to Drawing and Photography with emphasis on deveoping critical thinking skills.
