ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Pure pigments binded in walnut oil, gilt with aluminium foil on raised gesso. Prussian blue, cadmium red, cadmium orange, titanium white pure pigments. The sides are painted (blue-grey). Pigments purs (bleu de Prusse, rouge de cadmium, orange de cadmium, bleu de Prusse,blanc de titane, etc.) et feuille d'aluminium sur gesso bombé. Peinture et dorure à la feuille. Teintes dominantes : bleu gris, rouge, orange, gris aluminium. Liant acrylique et huile de noix, résine Dammar. Tableau déco de petit format présentant des surfaces métalliques en aluminium (dorure à la feuille). Les chants sont peints (bleu-gris), il est donc facultatif d'encadrer le tableau. Un système d'accrochage est monté au dos (anneau pliant).

I am now doing mostly Contemporary painting on canvas - while using the technical background of medieval book illumination. I'm using gilding (gold leaf, brass, aluminum, copper, etc. - on a gesso or with a flat ground) and pure pigments (historical or modern but always pure) ground with various binders (egg, acrylic, alkyd, linseed or walnut oil, etc.) I'm also now using a pen display to create digital art so I'm not only stuck in the Middle-Ages.
