Julia's artworks are presented in private collections in Russia, Europe and US. Author’s specialisation and professional activities (directions): Design, Restoration (Painting, Architecture and Paleontology) and Fine Arts (Painting and Graphics). Julia Verbitskaya started doing art at the age of 5. The artist paid much attention to education. Painting and restoration — two priority areas that the artist has chosen for creative self-expression and professional realisation. Julia got a special education: 1978 — Graduated Orenburg Junior School of Arts. Orenburg, USSR. 1981 — Graduated Leningrad Professional College (Fine Arts and Restoration). Leningrad, USSR. 1999 — Graduated St.Petersburg Academy of Arts (Painting and Drawing Department). St.Petersburg, Russia. Also author participated in exhibitions, visited various relevant master classes and attended numerous additional lectures for professional artists. Interesting fact: artist also worked in St.Petersburg Zoological Institute and St.Petersburg Academy of Veterinary Medicine. This valuable experience allowed author to understand anatomy of species much better, to study the structure of organisms in detail, that has a positive impact on subsequent work in paleontological restoration and fine art. Nowadays painting is the main Julia’s professional activity. As mentioned earlier the artist uses traditional oil painting technique. Author works in various genres: landscape, cityscape, still life, portrait, nature and animalistic (wildlife) painting. Original plots with animals against the St.Petersburg sights background became the artist's hallmark long time ago. The author is still in constant search for new forms and experiments. Special education in fine arts and restoration, many years of professional activity as a painter, constant practice and progress aspiration, accumulated experience, formed individual style and handwriting are those factors that make Julia’s paintings known and recognisable to a large number of collectors and author's art admirers.
