About The Artwork
The style and methods of painting the background were inspired by Jeff Koons. The abstract shapes in what feels like the foreground were born out of spontaneity and solidarity with how it feels to be in a woman's body, in relationship to the moon and the landscape. The colors are meant to feel earthly, feminine and possibly even grotesque to encompass the female experience.
