ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece came to live in Kansas City Missouri during my 2 year visit back to my hometown. My studio at the time had an unobstructed view of the sky and I spent most of my time either painting or looking at the sky during those years.This piece captures the hopeless duality of light and dark down here on earth. The orange and blues are super bright in contrast with the deep tones of shadow. This piece makes me want to sink into it and bask in the magical properties of the moon’s light.
