ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The materials I used for this painting were artist grade oil paint, a small 6 x 8 inch canvas board and archival, non yellowing, varnish. The painting is mounted in a black, faux wood finish picture frame. The painting arrives to you framed and ready to hang on the wall. I painted this cityscape sketch from a photo I took when I had a studio in Brooklyn, NY and would go up to the roof of the loft building and take pictures of the surrounding skyline. For as long as I can remember I've been drawn to watching the effects of light and shade and shapes that are formed by dynamic clouds against a changing sky.
