Born in 1968 in the city of Simferopol, he received his initial art education at the Crimean Art School named after N.S. Samokish, where he enrolled in 1984. He studied under renowned artists and teachers A.N. Shipov and L.V. Balkind. In 1987, he graduated with honors. For his diploma work, "Ship Repair Workers," he received an excellent grade and praise from the art council. In 1987, he was admitted to the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov, joining the studio of People's Artist, full member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Professor I.S. Glazunov. In 1992, he transferred to the studio led by the rector of the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov, People's Artist L.V. Shepelev. In 1996, he successfully graduated from the institute with a diploma project titled "Series of Marine Landscapes." After graduation, he actively engaged in creative work, participating in Moscow, regional, national, and international exhibitions. Since 1987, he has consistently gone on creative trips and held solo exhibitions. Since 1993, he has been a member and Vice President of the International Federation of Artists, regularly participating in exhibitions, creative seminars, and conferences. Since 2017, he has been an Honorary Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts. The artist’s works are held in private and museum collections in the USA, France, the UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, China, Australia, Finland, Austria, Greece, Belgium, and other countries. In the artist’s works, the mastery of color by Sergey Sidorenko is especially pronounced. His free use of decorative possibilities of color and deep understanding of its expressive means developed during his youth. Even at the art school, the teachers emphasized the traditions of plein-air and impressionistic painting. As a result, the brightness and strength of color in his works combined with dynamic and textured brushstrokes. The skillful use of color contrast and the plein-air painting style allowed him to create numerous art pieces from life without losing their artistic essence. The poetic world of nature, masterfully depicted by the author, consistently attracts the interest of a wide circle of collectors and art lovers. During his studies, his craftsmanship was significantly influenced by copying and studying the works of great masters of the 15th–20th centuries, such as Velázquez, Caravaggio, Frans Snyders, Ribera, Rembrandt, and others.
