It took me 3 months to complete it. For this one I used wild grape and rose leaves. Since winter came it was hard to find grape or rose leaves in the old town courtyards. So I bought some chocolate with nuts, went to the local flower market (perks of living near the city center), where I found some nice ladies who exchanged the chocolate to the leaves I needed. When I came there for the first time they asked me ‚maybe you mean petals?‘, and looked very surprised when I left only with 4-7 rose leaves at a time. From now on whenever I need some leaves I am always welcome in that flower market with a chocolate (always with nuts)!
Why roses? It might come as a surprise but somehow rose leaves are sufficiently strong, sufficiently elastic and have a texture I need. In the near future I am going to use other materials.
Why nameless? This one and another one before can be seen in many ways. For example this one from the beginning supposed to be about religion. When finished it was screaming something else - for me it was telling a story about a woman... but my friends saw different things. So I decided to keep my interpretations to myself. I wanted it to be one painting - many stories.
For me it looks better when viewed up close, you can see the details and let them influence you.
