While working on the self portrait, I understood that I would like to get deeper into my weaknesses and negative parts of myself, which I subconsciously reveal in my paintings anyway. So, a number of future artworks will be devoted to the acceptance of some negative side of my own personality. And the series itself will be called Self-Acceptance. All in all, I use such toy alike images to those negative traits to show that they can be easily tackled and accepted. The first painting in this series is Narcissism with this scorpion staring at the smaller version of itself. It is a metaphor to narcissism as a part of me. Also a scorpion is a symbol of self-destruction that can also be related to narcissism and be a contrast to vanity.
