ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Nessebar is believed to be one of the oldest Christian cities in Europe.There are over 15 churches and each is a relic of the past.Situated on a rocky peninsula on the Black Sea, Nessebar is divided into two parts by an artificial isthmus. The ancient city lies on the peninsula, while the modern one is built on land with its hotels and resorts. In summer it is a favorite place for walks of guests and residents of Nessebar. One of the symbols of the city is the windmill, which is located in the middle of the isthmus. The peninsula on which Old Nessebar is located is included by UNESCO in the List of World Heritage Sites.
