Never Fenced Country Painting - Limited Edition of 10

We are often struck by our own fragility in the face of nature's extreme; heat, drought, at times bushfires, floods, tornados etc. We help each other learn, heal, repair and regrow as we see in the resilience of many plants. Painting the landscape in all conditions has been part of the process of sharing with the community, opening up the conversations on the personal and broader experiences. Never Fenced Country is a Hero painting for my first Solo exhibition in Sydney, and represents the Hill End landscape in drought, Pink dirt country north west of sydney, a place where kangaroos still lie on unfenced grassy spaces in the centre of town in the cool of the mornings. I used acrylic on cotton for this expressive studio work.
