New Town Glow - framed original watercolour Painting

Often in Edinburgh the evening light will catch the architecture in such a way that demands to be painted. As I'm lucky enough to live and work there, I was treated to this sight on the way to a concert being held in the small chapel to the left of the main church, St Stephen's, whose imposing tower dominates the scene. The delicate lines of period buildings and lighting conditions called for more precision than I would normally give a piece, with special care given to protecting the light areas. The painting was done on 300gsm Langton cold press paper and the overall frame size is 34.0 x 33.9 x 3.2cm
