ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This beautifully balanced diptych speaks to the mind. The work is an open book ready to be interpreted by the viewers imagination. Not representing anything but itself, the work invites the spectator to look at rather than just see. In a chaotic world my work aims for purity, truth and a break from the baffling nature of our modern society. Abstract art, incl. Geometric Abstraction goes back over 100 years when artists were in search of a new art and were looking to break with century old traditions of artmaking. The influence of Geometric Abstraction is and has been far reaching. Modern Architecture is a good example. Contemporary design in general is highly influenced by what was initiated by these pionering artists. My practice is build on this tradition and attempts to expand and further explore the ideas brought about a Century ago.
