Artist born in Madrid (Spain) in 1956 Obtained her Law degree in Universidad Complutense (Madrid), and practiced during 15 years in legal consulting firms. She trained in many facets and disciplines of art under the guidance of artist and gallerist Nieves Solana during ten years, from 1994 until 2003. Her personal style incorporates echos of expressionism adding a touches of impressionism, always keeping in mind a hint abstraction. Her starting point is a balanced composition and rigorous drawing that is later overpassed by color, which is the main protagonist that defines shape and volume. The composition is enthusiastic and goes far beyond the dimensions of the frame. The shapes are uncontained, leaving to the spectator’s imagination to create its own image. She is a lover of the arts, and therefore has visited museums and collections around Europe (Madrid, Bilbao, Seville, Barcelona, Paris, London, Rome, Florence, Vienna, Prague, Amsterdam and Berlin) with a preference for the Italian renaissance and the Spanish baroque; as well as the artistic movements of the late 19th century and beginning of the 20th century in Paris, Berlin and Vienna. This artist works with paper, carton, canvas and table; using techniques such as oil, pastel, acrylic and mixed painting and even the collage. She also uses gesso based textures, among other materials. Her stroke is energetic at times, while at others subtle, using superimposed glazed that create rich textures and shades. Her art is found in private collections in Spain, France, United Kingdom, Austria and Switzerland.
