About The Artwork
This is a light-filled, airy representation of the North Yorkshire Moors near Whitby in England, UK. The piece is in stark contrast to my heaver acrylic works and it is inspired by the paintings of Joseph Zbukvic, and some of the looser works of the great English landscape painter, John Constable. Some of the calligraphic style brushwork reflects my love of Japanese Zen ink paintings and oriental calligraphy.
