About The Artwork

June 3, 2019 Notre Dame Burning: Pythia and The Great Red Dragon The burning of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on the 15th of April, 2019, broke my heart. Here is my painting. As promised...an early early look at my latest Pythia painting. I've had 2 days on it so far. This depicts another recent disaster for my heroic young Canadian girl to deal with. She's busy, my Pythia. You may be able to figure out some of the symbolism I'm using in this painting of the burning of the 800 year old cathedral. If you can't, don't worry, I'll explain once I've made all of the compositional decisions. The work itself is 6 feet high and 4 feet wide. I hope to finish it by the end of the summer. Cross your fingers ;-))))
