Artist, Creator of Textile Designs, Dinnerware Designs, Fashion Designs, Dreamer, Renaissance Woman A little bit of school but not much- Mostly educated in high school by an amazing Art teacher. Attended one year at the School of Visual Arts, NYC and evening classes for fashion at the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC - mid 1970s. I grew up in the decade of cultural change influenced by music, posters and rebellions of the 1960s. A “Mad Man” dad and a Modern Mom encouraged her creativity. As a teen I won second place in Seventeen Magazine’s annual art contest and Honorable Mention in Levi’s Art Denim contest. I went on to study at the School of Visual Arts and FIT in NYC. My career spans 40+ years as a designer of fashions, accessories and textiles, and surface design in the fashion and home decorating industries. I merged slowly into my art career and now create full time in my Hudson, NY studio. Known for my watercolor and mixed media paintings of botanicals, figuratives and landscapes along with mixed media assemblages and have had solo shows and been in many group shows in the Hudson Valley, NY and along the east coast.
