Erin M Riley is a tapestry weaver living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She received her MFA from Tyler School of Art in 2009. In 2007 she received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, MA. She has been weaving imagery culled from the internet and more recently photographs she has taken of herself using hand-dyed wool on a floor loom. Her work has been exhibited nationally at Guerrero Gallery in San Francisco, CA, Space 1026 Gallery in Philadelphia, PA, Sky High Gallery in Milwaukee, WI, The Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY and internationally at MK Gallery in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom and Town Hall Gallery in Hawthorn, Victoria in Australia. She has been an artist in residence at Virginia Center for Creative Arts, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, MacDowell Colony, Vermont Studio Center, McColl Center for Visual Arts and Emmanuel College.
