Ode to Dead Horse Bay Painting

I create environmentally conscious art with discarded plastic. By showcasing the beauty that can be created from unwanted materials, I hope to inspire others to think more consciously about the need to reduce the creation and consumption of plastic. I believe that art has the power to spark conversations and drive change. I am dedicated to using my talent and passion to raise awareness about the harmful effects that our dependence on single-use-plastic is having on the environment and our bodies. Periodically I need to take a pause from my fight for the environment in order to stave off climate grief. In those moments, I create encaustic monotypes, which I hope bring a bit of joy and beauty into the world.
