I painted this artwork back in 2020, when the pandemic had begun. I portrayed the streets of my city (I believe that was not the case only with mine) empty because of the limitations, its calmness that was a great duet with the city nature and buildings, highlighting its beauty.

Painter Arayik Asatryan was born in mountainous Armenia, which one can see in his paintings gifted to motherland. After graduating from the school in the capital city Yerevan, where he was known as a great illustrator of caricatures among his friends and had won the second prize in a junior painters exhibition in Paris, the painter entered the Panos Terlemezian Yerevan State College of Arts. Throughout his career the painter has worked as a senior designer-painter in well-known companies locally, such as "HayKopReklam" and "Neyron" Factory. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, artist began to position himself as a free painter. He paints with different styles and different subjects that give him opportunity to express himself in very different manners. Since 2003 Arayik Asatryan has been a member of the Artists' Union of Armenia. He participates in joint exhibitions organized by the Union and gets featured in its catalogues. In 2009 Armenian art-critic Armen Sedrakyan has published a book called "Paintings of our Contemporaries." Arayik Asatryan was among the 13 contemporary artists chosen by the critic and was published by his 12 works in the book. In 2010 the painter had his own exhibition during the Golden Apricot renowned Armenian film festival. His works have also been showcased in charity exhibitions organised in Beirut. Today a work called "Ararat" decorates the walls of the Central Museum of MVD in Moscow.
