ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“One Last Look” is my original 8 x 10-inch gouache-watercolor painting. Viewing from inside, it depicts a young girl and her family getting a last look at the Nauvoo Temple before leaving. In February 1846, thousands of Latter-day Saints started leaving their homes, land, and the temple they had built in Nauvoo, Illinois, due to rising hostilities. Most went to Council Bluffs, Iowa, but many were scattered in the surrounding area for years. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
