This is a minimalist painting of three orchids, made with Japanese ink on Chinese rice paper. Orchids are a very popular subject of Japanese art, they are also one of the "four gentlemen" of Chinese art, a classical symbol of purity and elegance, wealth and power. The painting is signed with my personal seal. It is wet-mounted on thickened rice paper and ready for framing or mounting on a scroll. Please use acid-free adhesives when framing.

The transience of life pushes me to create, to capture the moments of beauty I see all around. I also studied Asian art, in China, Canada, and in Japan. Fragile rice paper gives a different feeling. It's the best canvas to express the complex simplicity of ink painting. I am using centuries-old Japanese recipe to mount my own artwork.
