(b. 1976, Tbilisi, Georgia) is an accomplished Georgian painter end decorative artist. She began formal academic training in the arts at the early age of six at the State Secondary Arts School. Ekaterine Merabishvili gained early recognition for her work through exhibitions, including a 1986 exhibition dedicated to World War II veterans in Tbilisi. In 1993, Merabishvili enrolled at the Georgia State Academy of the Arts, where she concurrently worked in the Monumental and Decorative Arts. While at the Academy, her artwork was showcased in various student and student/faculty exhibitions and symposiums from 1998 to 2000,Merabishvili instructed secondary arts schools students in Tbilisi In 2000, Merabishvili graduated with honors from the Academy, and began her postgraduate studies at the Monumental and Decorative Arts department. She continued her studies for two years, finishing with a Masters in Monumental and Decorative Arts, before joining the Georgian Artists Union in 2002 Merabishvili has participated in various public and academic events including solo and other exhibitions in the United States and elsewhere. Her works can be found at galleries, private collections allover the world and have been published in various editions in USA and Georgia.
