Through good and bad, Africa is Rina’s home and if you’ve ever lived here or visited here, you’ll know that there is simply no place like Africa. We love this place because it is the most alive, vibrant place that we have ever been. We are survivors, we are elegant, soulful, proud and beautiful. We love the diverse cultures, art, and music of Africa. We love the colours, the smell and taste of Africa. How can one not relate to that smell of hard rain falling on hard-packed, hot earth? How can it not elicit emotion? About the artist’s work: An artist’s home is where their heart lies. It’s where their soul has grown. It’s their inspirational seed. Rina’s passion and love for Africa is strong. In a continent as diverse as ours, there’s plenty to provide food for a creative soul. Rina’s love of adventure and the outdoors gives her exposure to the people, the sea, the land and the sky. Africa’s smells, sounds and sights are an artist’s well. Rina uses it expertly. Artwork notes: This piece is a completely unique and original abstract resin painting on hand-crafted artist’s canvas, using 100% pure cotton, kiln-dried certified selected timber frame and hand primed with acrylic-based primer. A thin layer of varnish protects the artwork against UV light and dust. This painting is not framed, but comes ready to hang with the sides painted. Framing is unnecessary, but may be preferred, depending on the client’s wishes. The artwork is signed on the side and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
