ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The artwork was painted after a trip to the international plein-air in Kenya in 2017. The painting depicts the ancient city of Lamu, which is under UNESCO protection. The canvas shows an ordinary narrow street in the morning. The Islands are often overcast in the morning. The grey sky and light grey and white walls of the houses create a special authenticity. The artwork is painted in oil on canvas, stretched on a stretcher.

Artist’s works are in museums and private collections: Kenya, Germany, Finland, USA, Holland, Cyprus, Moldova, Russia and others.
