Michael Bove is a painter who works with abstract shapes and patterns created with bold brush strokes. His work originates from presence and observing the environments he finds himself in daily life. Shaped by his love of bold graphics, found markings, signs, and design, Michael enjoys the pure feeling of the brush and paint gliding across the surface of the painting. There is a joyful musicality and movement to his work, as the shapes seem to dance and reverberate on the canvas. Currently based in Santa Monica, CA, and originally from Lorain, OH, Michael’s work is enjoyed galactically. He is also an accomplished drummer and an alumni of the first American cast of STOMP.
