PORTRAITCOLORPAINTING (or, alternatively, based on considerations by Denise Macedo, CHROMATIC DISSOLUTION OF THE MIND): Suffering is liquid in a liquid world, according to Baumann, however, I confess, when I began this series I only thought of painting portraits that had color as their theme and motive. The fluidity is in the very nature of the materials: oil paint, linseed oil and turpentine. Such fluidity serves as a metaphor and allegory of a psychological world in dissolution. The rest is color, spatula and hand.
