Past and future, youth and old-age. The bird symbolizes adolescence while old-age is represented in the window. A tear slides from the bird's eye. It' s crying for disappointment, for disillusion, for rage. The real world blights every adolescent expectation, hope and dream. The bird is free because adolescence does not accept compromises, that is why he faces with his chest out the future. There is fear in his eye because fear is the state of the origin, of the newborn conscience. Mind was born to overcome the fear of the vacuum, of the unknown. Old-age is represented in the window: the man alone, slow-pace walking, resigned, overcame, lost and trapped in a boundless, labyrinthic house/Mind where everything is ordered and still.

BIOGRAPHY I am a self-taught painter. I manifested the passion for drawing since my childhood. I started using oil at the age of 18. The starting point of my artistic path are the introspective experiences of adolescence. Through painting I tried to give voice to the chaotic turmoil full of unravelling intuitions and contradictions of adolescence. As time passed by, painting became the space for subconscious to manifest itself, bringing with it all the folly that otherwise is confined in our depths. Between 1998 and 2002 I lived in El Salvador. This experience deeply influenced the evolution of my artistic path. Green is a mark of this period as well as blue is for the adolescence period. STATEMENT Art is a path toward the Truth. Therefore, artists should be inherently concerned with Beauty, because Beauty is how the Truth manifests itself. AND BEAUTY DOES HAVE OBJECTIVE STANDARDS. Artists do not create Art. Art is only in the Perfection of Nature. Art is Beauty, art is the secret matrix of Beauty and we do not create Beauty. In the presence of Beauty, we can merely be spectators, to be overwhelmed, mind-blown, astonished and “pierced”. The uncanny ability of an artist is that to submerge him/her-self into folly and there to wander at ease. That is the only realm where it is possible to elicit, without understanding, the secrets of that matrix which generates Beauty. What we call art is the clear and absolutely original language through which the artist expresses his/her own sense of Beauty. "Our language interpose itself between learning and the truth as a dusty glass, a deforming mirror. The Eden language was like a clear window, through which a light of full comprehension flowed". (George Steiner, After Babel). "Beauty is truth, truth beauty, - that is all, Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know''. (John Keats)
