ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The 2009-2010 winter in Philadelphia produced two of the three biggest snow storms in the city's history. I was living in West Philly at the time, and all cars were stranded in the February storm, with the city at a gridlock. The only way to traverse the city for a few days was by using narrow paths through the deep snow that led to corner stores and places of necessity. This painting was inspired by a 35mm photography I took of neon lights reflecting on one of those snow paths. The painting is framed with a white floater frame.
