Paysage d'hiver Painting

Lubomir Hnatovic was born on 7 October 1957 in Brodske, Slovakia. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, and later, after his emigration to the West in the early 1980s, the drawing class of Professor Willi Kopf at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna. But apart from these two forays into academic educational establishments Lubomir is self-taught. He found his masters for himself. Great painters such as Goya, Velazquez, Ribera, Leonardo Da Vinci, Francis Bacon and more have appealed to something in his soul which he has gradually developed into his own personal style. Lubomir Hnatovic lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
