Throw in oceans and cordilleras and you reach some pretty cases of quid pro quo. Latin Piper, English Pepper, Catalan , Pebre and Spanish Pimienta. On other face of the Earth, Pebre is a salsa with tomato, cilantro, ajo and aji, no funny twins but garlic and peppers...I think I just lost you...Aji is everywhere else a Chilli pepper. But not in Chile. On the other hand, white from your black, yin from your yang, Salt from your Pepper stays Sal, sel . Too primal to be changed by the language of men.
