Pentecost, Holy Spirit Painting

Pentecost, is a representation of a well-known biblical scene, very significant for most believers. The 12 apostles form the foreground of the painting. Above the golden nimbus is placed a red dot symbolizing the tongue of fire. There are streams of warm light on the figures. The shadow that falls from the apostles, enhances the impression of "illumination" of the scene. The background is made up of other (120) disciples of Jesus who gathered to celebrate. The whole picture is maintained in shades of beige, brown with accents of gold, red and black.
