About The Artwork
This is a painting of my brother. He is gazing outward with an almost hypnotic stare. I created this very large painting so that the viewer can see human expression at an enormous scale. I have done this before with other works, but I wanted the piece to stand taller than the spectator. My plan has worked. I personally feel a strange overwhelming feeling when directly in front of the work. Oil painting is my preferred medium. I felt using any other medium would not have had the same impact. The sides of the canvas are differently coloured, varying from bright orange to purple.
